Dudhsagar Waterfall

Dudhsagar (Dudh - Milk; Sagar:Sea) is also called as sea of milk which is located on Mondovi river and it is one of the largest waterfalls in India. We should visit this waterfalls during monsoon to enjoy for the fullest. The waterfall in in the border of Karnataka and Goa.

There are few shops near the falls where we can get something light to eat and drink. Also there is a lower part of the falls where we can enjoy playing in water (When the flow is less).

There are 2 routes to reach the falls:
  • Reach Castle rock (Karnataka)railway station, park vehicles and then reach the falls - You can either trek (Around 10 Kms) and reach the waterfalls or we can get into the train and get down at Dudhsagar falls. There is no platform and the visitors should get down using steep ladder and the train may stop for 1-2 minutes. There is also a bike service available where the bikers take the visitors to the falls.
  • Reach Colum (Goa) railway station, park vehicles and then reach the falls - You can either trek (Around 10 Kms) and reach the waterfalls or we can get into the train and get down at Dudhsagar falls. There is no platform and the visitors should get down using steep ladder and the train may stop for 1-2 minutes. Dudhsagar Waterfall - Trek

It will be good to trek because we come across lot of tunnels and we can enjoy the natural beauty. Preferred to trek early morning so that we do not get much tired.
